DOWNTOWN. A renovated 19th-century building is home to Grasshopper, whose interior mixes aged brick, granite, leather, glass, gilt, antiques, and crystal. The chic venue offers both a dance floor, where patrons groove to hip-hop and R&B, and a lounge, where quieter activities are favored. Curtained-off alcoves provide even more privacy, although they do come at a price. The singles scene at Grasshopper is particularly hot, so be prepared for mingling and lots of introductions.
